The View Is Better On Top

Your Basecamp Above the Trails

We sit at the very top of Crumpler Mountain just outside Northfork, WV — here since 1983, long before the Hatfield-McCoy trail system existed.

Crumpler Mountain Resort is a small, family-run campground built for riders. We're central to all the major attractions in the area and sit closest to the Indian Ridge and Outlaw trail systems, so you spend less time hauling and more time riding.

Cabins, RV hookups, tent sites, a stocked shop, a full arcade, and on-site mechanical & trail-recovery service — everything a rider needs in one spot. Roll in, gear up, and head out. The view, after all, is always better when you're on top.

Driving Directions

  1. Coming from Route 52, turn onto Northfork-Ashland Road; cross the railroad tracks and follow the road.
  2. Do NOT turn onto the road by Jakes Grocery (Bearwallow Branch Road) — GPS systems will try to route you there.
  3. Stay left at the Y in the road; this is Ashland-Crumpler Road. Follow it up the mountain.
  4. Do NOT turn onto Milam St in Crumpler — that is a trail, not a road.
  5. At the top of the mountain you'll reach a very sharp hairpin turn. Go straight onto the gravel road and follow it all the way to the top.
  6. You'll see a house as you approach — Crumpler Mountain Resort is the driveway on the right at the end of the gravel road.
  7. Drop straight onto our front gate with the what3words pin below — it lands you on the exact spot when GPS gets confused.
